Tooth-Colored Fillings
Tooth-colored fillings, also known as composites, are a fantastic alternative to silver fillings. Tooth colored fillings can be placed on both front and back teeth and are an excellent and conservative treatment option to fix a decayed or chipped area of a tooth. Unlike the old silver fillings that were once the only option, tooth-colored fillings are mercury-free, toxin-free, and actually improve the aesthetics of a smile. Because they are custom-matched to each individual tooth, it is nearly impossible to ever tell treatment was completed.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are a great option for creating the smile you’ve always wanted. Veneers consist of very thin sheets of porcelain that are attached to the front of the teeth, improving shape, size and color.
Dental Implants
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth, or to better stabilize a denture. Dental implants may be an option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason.
Crowns and Bridges
Dental crowns and bridges are two of the oldest and most trusted dental treatments, and with new technology, the restorative process is more comfortable and convenient than ever before. You receive many benefits with crown or bridge work:
• An improved smile that boosts your confidence
• Improved ability to speak and chew properly
• Stabilization of the shape of your face and jaw
• Proper distribution of the pressure of your bite by replacing missing teeth
• Prevention of teeth drifting out of position
Crowns
Dental crowns, also known as tooth caps, are a type of dental restoration that fit over the portion of the tooth that lies at and above the gum line. Because the crown covers the entire visible tooth, it becomes the tooth’s new outer surface. A crown restores a tooth to its original shape, giving it strength and an improved cosmetic appearance.
Bridges
Dental bridges are used to fill in your smile if you are missing one or more teeth. A bridge is made of two crowns on the neighboring teeth that serve as anchors for the false tooth/teeth in between. Made of gold, alloys or porcelain, this dental procedure literally bridges the space where teeth were missing.
Dentures
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth. There are two types of dentures available – complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing. Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth still remain.
A new breakthrough in dentistry allows for dentures to be anchored by dental implants. An implant supported denture is a type of denture that is supported by and attached to implants. The denture is still removable but can be clasped to the implants for better support and function.
Root Canal Treatments
The root canal procedure is performed when a tooth’s soft core, the dental pulp, becomes infected and must be removed to prevent further pain and damage. When the diseased pulp is removed, the pulp chamber and root canal of the tooth are cleaned and sealed, and a crown is usually placed over the tooth to make it stronger.
Once thought of as invasive and painful, the root canal procedure is actually relatively simple with little or no discomfort. It can also save you from losing a tooth and needing further dental treatments.
