Initial Exam

At your Initial Exam, we will listen to your dental concerns, wants, needs, and goals. We want to get to know you, not just your teeth. Next, we will take any necessary digital X-Rays. Your dentist will read your X-Rays and perform a visual exam to assess the condition and overall health of your teeth and gums. Together, you and your dentist will formulate a custom care plan for your dental treatment.

Cleanings

We offer a variety of cleanings and gum treatments for children and adults. After your initial exam, Dr. Hansen will recommend the type of cleaning or gum treatment and recall interval that is right for you.

Periodontal Treatment

Periodontal treatment is used to treat periodontal disease, commonly known as gum disease. Bacterial infections can cause swollen or bleeding gums that often lead to tissue and bone destruction surrounding the teeth, which results in tooth loss.

Our effective treatment of periodontal disease involves a deep cleaning of the spaces and crevices of the infected teeth and gums. The goal of the treatment is to stop or control the progress of the disease.

Sealants

A sealant is a clear plastic-like coating brushed and cured to the chewing surface of your teeth to prevent cavities from forming in the deep pits and grooves. A sealant is a non-invasive procedure that does not require any numbing agents to be used.
